Hello Stars! I’m Sofie Nordstrom, and I’m honored to introduce myself as this years’ editor-in-chief. You may know me around campus from the varsity volleyball and basketball programs, student-government, National Honor Society, Girl Up Club, or book club. I have absolutely loved being a part of the newspaper and am really excited for this upcoming publication year. I have a great team of editors with me. We are returning three columns: Current News, led by Sienna Dhariwal ’25; Campus Life, led by Josephine Brown ’26; and Sports, led by Olivia Tri ’26.
The Blue & Gold is still a relatively new publication- this is only our fourth publication year. I am looking forward to continuing the expansion of Blue & Gold readership within the AHA community. I believe that the Blue & Gold is an amazing resource for students, staff, parents, and alumni, and I plan to continue the outreach started by last years’ editors, Josh and Ella. We are always looking for more writers, and newspaper is a great way to meet new people, especially people across grades that you normally wouldn’t get to know otherwise.
