AHA Homecoming events put on by student government made the week stellar.
Monday was “Adam Sandler Day” with students dressing out in their trashiest, baggiest, and most worn out clothing while Happy Gilmore was played at lunch. Most students immediately looked to the drawers of their fathers and their brothers to accomplish this theme.
Tuesday was “Western Day” where students dressed in their spurs, cowboy hats, and bandanas. In addition, there was an emphasis on country music with students wearing a variety of country music merch from artists such as Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Zach Bryant.
Wednesday, following suit, was “USA Day” where students represented the colors red, white, and blue. To get everyone into that patriotic spunk, music, such as the “Star Spangled Banner”, was played all throughout lunch.
Thursday then rolled along with the classy theme of “Dress Your Best.” This encouraged students to go all out and wear anything from dresses to suits in respect for the mass that was later attended by the school at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Finally the week came to a close on Friday with the all too classic theme of “Spirit Out.” The school assembled for a pepfest to cheer on fall sports, to promote attendance to the Homecoming game, and to play in an all school volleyball tournament. The sophomore team came out on top of the school bracket before playing and then losing to the staff.
