Football

AHA football is going to state! The Stars beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s 41-7 in the section championship on Friday, and they will move on to state. The team will play Zimmerman on Thursday at 7pm in the first round of the state playoffs over at Osseo High School. Be sure to go support the team.

Girls Soccer

After a great regular season and a strong run through the playoffs into the state championship, girls soccer faced their Achilles heel of past seasons, Mahtomedi. It was close throughout the game, and after regulation ended 1-1, it took penalties to decide the winner. After a back and forth shootout, the Stars eventually came out on top to win their first state championship since 2003. AHA has its first state champions of the year!

Cross Country

The MSHSL Cross Country State Championship Meet was held at St. Olaf College on Saturday, and AHA’s own Colin Kaster ‘23 participated. He placed 96th out of the 160 best runners in Class 2A. Colin is the first AHA runner in the boys state tournament since 2003. Congratulations on a great season, Colin!
